Some years ago now, Graham enjoyed working with an 85 year old lady who was brought up in a family of  eight daughters and one son by a widowed mother, in a poor area of Poole, Dorset.
Graham's story is not an account of her life but does include many of the episodes and anecdotes he learnt from her.
The project begins with a storytelling session which gradually includes the whole group of children in an active role play session.
It will give the children the opportunity to consider many of the issues confronting the poor in Victorian England.
